Studies currently recruiting

We’re looking for UBC students aged 17-25 who have self-diagnosed with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) or suspect they might have ADHD but do not have a formal diagnosis. This study involves one Zoom meeting with a study staff member. You’ll work with the staff member to learn more about your ADHD symptoms or how to access supports for ADHD symptoms. You will also answer some questions about your views of ADHD and reasons why you might or might not want to seek a formal diagnosis. The study should take approximately 2.5 hours, and you will receive $20 in exchange for your participation.

You will need to speak/understand English and have a working device with a camera and microphone if you are doing the study over Zoom. Please do not sign up for this study if you already have a formal diagnosis of ADHD from a professional such as a family doctor, psychologist, or psychiatrist. It is ok to sign up for this study if you have a diagnosis of something other than ADHD, or if people around you suggested you get tested for ADHD, but you haven’t yet.

If you have a child or adolescent with suspected or diagnosed ADHD and you would like to be informed about any future studies in which your family may be able to participate, please complete the form below and we will enter you into our database. Note that we will never give or sell your name to anyone else, and we will only contact you if we have a study in the future for which you may be eligible. At that time we would tell you about the study and you would be free to decide whether or not you actually wanted to participate. This tends to be about once per year or less. Some studies are entirely online and others are in person. You are also free to remove your name from our database at any point.
